Hello!

My name is Joseph Barrios and I'm a producer, recording engineer, and artist originally from Memphis, TN and now based in Los Angeles, CA.

I’ve spent many years making music and understand how much time and effort goes into learning music production. There is so much information online that it can be hard to know where to begin and how to progress.

I’m excited to share the things I’ve learned about making music in individualized lessons online. My goal in providing lessons is to coach students in learning this technical skill and help to sharpen their creativity.

These lessons will serve as a roadmap in how to make music at home, on your computer, with little investment. In 2020, you don’t need to spend thousands of dollars on studio time or complicated equipment.

With a laptop, software, and a microphone, you can produce tracks the same way artists such as Billie Eilish, Post Malone, and Travis Scott do.

A little bit about me:

I grew up in Collierville, TN and started writing songs as a teenager. I’ve had some great teachers and mentors in my journey of making music my career path.

I studied at Belmont University, and in 2014 I graduated with a B.B.A. in Music Business, emphasis in Music Production.

I’ve have had the privilege to work with artists on major and indie labels as a producer and engineer in order to bring their creative vision to life. I’ve also toured across the country playing guitar for artists and have learned many lessons about the music industry along the way.

I just recently relocated to Los Angeles, CA to continue growing in my career working with artists in the studio.
